Firebases and LZ's Occupied by Elements of 1st Battalion, 82nd Arty 1968-1971
The following list of Landing Zones (LZ's) and Fire Support Bases (FSB) was compiled
from several different official sources. It covers the period from August 1968 to
11 Oct 1971. The dates shown next to each location are for the initial occupation
of that location by elements of each Battery and are shown for reference purposes
only. In a number of situations, elements of the same Battery occupied the same
locations on several different occasions to meet the demands of the changing tactical
situation. Likewise, the number of guns located at each location also changed in
response to demands of the Division's maneuver elements.
